According to Colliers, 2017 was the second most active year for new industrial and R&D construction since the end of the recession in San Diego County.

In 2018, construction completions will reach its highest level in 11 years with more than 2.1 million SF.  However, San Diego County vacancy rate has been consistently between 4.5% and 5.0% for the past two years.  recent report by Cushman & Wakefield estimates that 57% of industrial space countywide in San Diego was built before 1990 and barely 3.0% of space was built after 2010.
